The Great American Community Kitchen travels into neighborhoods throughout the Northern Virginia area. We use our food truck to hand out fresh, hot & hearty meals 6 days a week.
Our goal is to provide and spread random acts of kindness and to eventually grow into having more and more food trucks so that we can continue to help our community when it comes to food insecurity.

Food when it’s needed most
Food insecurity, a condition in which households lack access to adequate food because of limited money or other resources, is a leading health and nutrition issue in the United States - especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, rising food costs, and other factors. This can be a temporary situation for a family or it can last a long time. We aim to help.
We cannot fight food insecurity alone, our volunteers help us make an impact. Together we can ensure that thousands of free and healthy meals reach our community daily to those who need it – but there are so many more people who still need our help. Your donations, no matter the size, have the power to make a tangible impact on the lives of countless families struggling to make ends meet. By contributing to our cause, you become an integral part of our community, extending a helping hand to those who need it the most. We are also looking for corporate sponsorships.
